We are just a few days away from the 150th Anniversary of Hayfield Minnesota. We are proud to be hosting over 40 events in 4 days. Below are a few highlighted events geared towards children! Of course, there may be more based on the age of your child so we suggest you take a look at our full schedule on our Events page!

Children's Theater - The Rainbow Fish (Event Link)

Trinity Lutheran Church, Hayfield, MN

Thursday, June 23 - 7PM

Start your evening at Hayfield Trinity Lutheran Church for a live children's theater production of The Rainbow Fish - Come enjoy an evening of theater, performed by our Hayfield area youth, grades K-5. Directed by Jenny Dreyer, "The Rainbow Fish" is sure to entertain. There is no cost to see the show, but a free will donation to support the Hayfield High School Theater Program will be available.


Family Movie Night (Event Link)

Himle Park, Hayfield, MN

Thursday, June 23 - 9PM

After the theater show at Trinity Lutheran Church, Join us at Himle Park for an outdoor family movie! Bring your bag chairs, blankets and snacks. Sponsored by Hayfield P.I.E. (Parents In Education) Sonic the Hedgehog (1) will be on the movie screen!

Bingo for the whole family! Join us at the American Legion! Cards for a quarter!This event is both Friday, June 24th and Saturday June 25th from 5:00 - 8:00 PM.


Campfire, Music, Games, and Smores! (Event Link)

After Bingo, head to Trinity Lutheran Church where you will make s'mores, visit, and play lawn games as Brady Kyllo and Jackson Heydt play music around the campfire! All ages welcome!

Hayfield City Carnival (Event Link)

Saturday, June 25 -12pm-8pm

Join us while we celebrate #Hayfield150 Anniversary! Included in a weekend full of events, is a Carnival! This will run June 25th 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Located at the Park n' Ride at 15 W Main St. Hayfield, MN. There will be multiple fun carnival-themed games, bounce houses, music, prizes, and more! There is also a growing list of the "community celebrities" you will find in the dunk tank and pie in the face booths! Bring your family and friends for a fun carnival celebration!


Roosters Vintage Baseball Game (Event Link)

Saturday, June 25 -11:00am - 2pm

The Roosters are presented by the History Center of Olmsted County MN and play 1860 rules base ball while wearing period uniforms and using replica bats and balls. Their goal is to bring history alive with depictions of Base Ball as it was meant to be played.

Jim Jayes Magic Show (Event Link)

Downtown (Near Carnival)

Saturday, June 25 - 1pm and 3pm

Abracadabra! For over 30 years, Jim Jayes has been entertaining people of all ages with his unique combination of magic and puppetry. Enjoy a delightful experience with fun and amazement! Showtimes at 1pm and 3pm on Saturday (Downtown) and after the parade on Sunday (Himle Park)

Fireworks (Event Link)

Saturday, June 25 - DUSK

We will kick Saturday evening off with a Bang! Our Hayfield Fire Department will shoot off Sesquicentennial Fireworks at Earl Himle Park at Dusk. This year, the number of fireworks are over 3 times the quantity than in the past! Still within 20 minutes!

Kiddie Parade (Event Link)

Help us celebrate 150 years with a traditional kiddie parade! Dress up your children or come as a family in your favorite kiddie parade attire! Put them on their bikes, in a wagon, or walk this 2 block route as a way to share your community spirit. Registration and parade lineup starts at 1pm. Parade lineup will start behind the Trinity Lutheran Church in the Alleyway.


Grande Parade (Event Link)

West Main Street, Hayfield, MN

Sunday, June 26 - 2PM

Bring your friends and family, and join us for an afternoon of summer cheer! Plan on seeing your favorite Shriners, Marching Bands, Car Show Winners, and much more! Announcing each entry will be a local celebrity! Parade Route will start and end at the school district. View our Grande Parade Route!


Red Bard Farm Animal Petting Zoo (Event Link)

Sunday, June 26 - After Parade

Red Barn Learning Center is bringing in a variety of farm animals for you to meet! Fun for the whole family. Red Barn Learning Center is owned and operated by Brian and Brenna Scanland and Located at 27251 State Hwy 30. Event is following the Hayfield Sesquicentennial Grande Parade at Himle Park in Hayfield MN!
